I am an engineer by training, with a BEng (Hons), and I have spent twenty years delivering engineering projects here in the Borders. I build websites the same way: a fixed scope, honest advice and a finish date that is kept.
There is no account manager and no call centre. The person you speak to at the start is the person who plans the site, writes the pages with you, designs it and develops it, and the same person you message after launch.
The facts in brief

Working software, not only pages
The studio builds the parts that make a site earn its keep: ordering systems for restaurants and takeaways with no commission on orders, and booking and enquiry apps with an admin panel.
Yours to keep
You own your domain and content outright and receive the full source files under a perpetual licence. If you do not like the first design concept and say so within 5 working days, the deposit is refunded in full. The terms set out exactly how.
Adam’s Kitchen, Hawick. A takeaway that was paying commission to delivery platforms on every order. The build is a full website with a commission-free ordering app: collection and delivery, preorders, kitchen order printing and an admin panel. It is used daily at hawickadamskitchen.co.uk.
Tomek Turlej Tattoo, Edinburgh. A studio whose bookings all lived in Instagram messages. The build is a portfolio of more than 240 pieces, online booking requests and a private admin dashboard, at tomekktattoo.co.uk.
Luuni, Riga. A children’s party venue in Latvia that needed a new name and a site that takes bookings by itself. The build covers the rebrand and a Latvian-language site with live availability, online booking, a decorations catalogue and an owners’ panel, at luuni.lv.
The studio is in Kelso, so meeting in person is possible when it helps. Most work is for businesses in the Scottish Borders and north Northumberland: Galashiels, Hawick, Melrose, Jedburgh, Peebles, Selkirk, Duns, Coldstream, Eyemouth and Berwick-upon-Tweed.
Businesses further away are welcome, because most of a project is handled by phone, WhatsApp and email.

No. Cheviot Web Studio is unrelated to Borders Web Studio, which is a different company in the Scottish Borders.
